Kendra Kellis, M.A., LAMFT
I was born and raised in the sunny state of Arizona. Citrus groves were the background of my childhood. My parents are native Idahoans and living here is a pilgrimage of sorts for me, with Melba, Nampa, Boise and Emmett as places that hold my ancestry. I always loved coming here every summer, swimming in the canal next to my grandparent’s home off of Castle Dr. and Hill Rd. I feel really lucky to be raising my three children in Boise with my husband.
I got my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Utah State University in Logan, UT. I took a long sabbatical (10+ years) to work, live/serve/work abroad, get married and have children. As my youngest got closer to school age, I started graduate school with Alliant International University, a COAMFTE accredited online program for Marriage and Family Therapy. I then did 16 months of training and hundreds of hours of in-person therapy in Eagle, Idaho with Treasure Wellness Counseling and Training Center. I feel so honored by every client who came to me and every mentor that invested in me and that continues to be true.
I love watching movies with my kids, with popcorn and a yummy drink. As cliche as it is, a long, brisk walk on the Boise River Greenbelt with a good friend or my husband is the perfect activity. I love laughing, eating good food and talking with my close friends and strategizing how we will add good to the world.
